Sidney J. Burns, the Principal
Shareholder of the firm, has been a CPA since 1973.
He is a 1964 graduate of the University of Maryland
at College Park. Prior to starting the firm, Sid worked
as an accountant and management consultant in private
industry and public accounting.
Since 1973, Sid has been providing accounting and business
consulting services to businesses and individuals in
the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. Sid is a past
president of the Association of Practicing Certified
Pubic Accountants (APCPA), and currently serves on the
organization's advisory board. His areas of expertise
include individual and business taxation, litigation
support and financial services. Sid recently lectured
at the APCPA Annual Tax Day on "How to Use the
Resources of the Internet in Your Tax Practice."
Sid has served as a member of the United States Chamber
of Commerce Small Business Taxation Committee and an
advisor to President George Bush's small business campaign
committee. Sid was also a nominee for Lt. Governor of
the state of Maryland in the 2002 primary election.
He currently serves as President Elect of the Amity
Club of Washington.
